Seachtain na Gaeilge 2023

Seachtain na Gaeilge in St. Patrick’s was an amazing two weeks. We took part in lots of fun activities such as a talent show, Irish dancing, games in the P.E hall and a fashion show all as Gaeilge. The whole school learned the Dreoilín dance and preformed it in the corridors and out in the yard. From 3rd class to 6th class, a trath na gceist (table quiz) was organised with lots of fun prizes for the winners! For the last two days of Seachtain na Gaeilge we got to dress up in green clothes for Lá Glas, we saw lots of colourful hats and hairbands. We finished off the week with a Ceolchoirm which included the talent show winners, Ms.Billington’s Irish dancers and the teachers Irish dance. Our favourite parts of Seachtain na Gaeilge were the talent show and learning the Dreoilín dance. The week was fun for all classes. Bhí craic agus ceol againn ar an Seachtain na Gaeilge. ☘
