Road Safety Campaign

‘Awareness, enforcement and improvement’ are the three key aims as three primary schools in Bray have launched a ‘travel to school’ awareness campaign in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety.
The schools are located along a short stretch of road on the busy Vevay Hill and the campaign is spearheaded by the parents’ associations (PA), the campaign by St Patrick’s Loreto primary school, Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh and St Cronan’s Boys National School is supported by the school principals and staff, community Gardai, local residents and the school traffic warden.
They say they are hoping to achieve ‘awareness, enforcement and improvement’, as the campaign aims to foster better practices for parents, increase enforcement action by gardai in the vicinity and lobby the council to make public realm and road safety improvements.
